Thousands of students are moving into dorms on college and university campuses in Stark County.Fall classes will start over the next few weeks.Shopping carts stuffed with clothes, mattress toppers and mini fridges are rolling across Stark County college and university campuses.Thousands of students have been moving into residence halls and will continue the transition this week as the fall semester kicks off for several Stark colleges and universities. Some have already returned to campus for sports or camps, but the bulk of students move in this weekend.Walsh University started welcoming students back to campus Wednesday. Freshman Carson Bernard, of Wadsworth, said he chose the university because he felt it offered him a lot of opportunities to get involved and connect with the community.”When I stepped right on campus, I absolutely loved it,” he said.Bernard’s mom, Annette Bernard, graduated from Walsh in 1998. He said she told him she had a wonderful experience on campus.Many college and universities will host welcome events and activities for students over the weekend.Classes begin at Walsh, Kent State Stark and the University of Mount Union on Monday.
